On bow deer huntingTom's third season hunting with his Association produced these results. Another great year with MAHA! The 8
pointer was taken on October 2nd and grossed 133 7/8 P&Y and the 10
pointer came to me on December 21st and grossed about 134 P&Y. Both
from the same stand!
While hunting for doe on the weekend of January 11th I had 7 buck in front of my pop up blind 2 of which would have gone P&Y. Anyone who doesn't hunt the last week of bow season is really missing out on some great hunting. One of my highlights of this season was meeting some great folks from back home in Vermont, Kevin and his dad Larry. I wish we had more time to visit, but those are two hard hunters! Thanks for hooking us up. we will be doing more hunts in the future. Thanks for everything! Tom
Tom's second trophy in two years of hunting with MAHA. 145+/- P&Y, 167 pounds.
Tom with this and last year's trophy deer. Hi John, I am writing to thank you for your time and help in making my hunting experience a fun-filled, exciting and successful adventure. With only a matter of weeks before archery season I joined Mid
America Hunting Association. This left me next to no time for
scouting. With some help from your land manager and a few
excellent phone conversations with you, I was able to set up my morning
and evening stands quickly. On the second day in my morning stand
I was able to harvest this nice 10 pointer. During a phone conversation you asked me if I thought it was luck or skill. Well, the truth of the matter is if it wasn't for the great properties the land manager acquired this harvest would not have occurred. Becoming a member in the hunting association has been the highlight of this year's hunting season. Being a new member you made me feel part of the family! Here are some pictures of my deer and where I was set up that morning. Looking forward to many more years with M.A.H.A. Thanks, Tom |
