I just wanted to thank you for all of the help this year in finding a place to hunt. I really didn't have a lot of time to scout this year because we had a little girl in May so things have been pretty hectic around our house with a two year old and a new born. The properties you directed me to were everything you said they would be.
I was able to harvest this 10 pointer on the second day of the Rifle season, which left my wife happy since I was home early.
I got to my stand early on Sunday and had deer all around me before sunrise. I had an 8 pointer about 50 yards from me, but by the time I could get turned around without spooking him and bring my rifle up, he was facing away from me and I didn't have a good shot.
I was just thinking I probably had my opportunity for the day when I heard this deer grunting and chasing a doe across a CRP field. I was looking ahead for an opening where I thought they would come into the timber. The doe crossed the opening at about 40 yards with the buck 20 yards behind her. Thanks again for all the help.
