Pictured below is Mike M's first deer of any kind he has harvested in Kansas.
Thank you for all your help and advice you gave me. If not for your help I doubt that I would have done any good. I have never hunted outside of Missouri. Only having one weekend to scout where I was going to hunt, and 16,000 acres to scout, I asked John for help narrowing it down to a select few farms. The first place I scouted, where he said he saw two big Mule Deer bucks traveling between two big corn fields, I saw two Mule Deer does. Knowing the Mule Deer were moving between the two corn fields, I made a natural blind out of sage brush in a ditch. On the second weekend of the early muzzleloader season the weather changed from the mid 90's to the mid 30's with a light rain. I knew my luck was going to change with the weather. Sure enough, this 5x4 Mule Deer buck came trotting through on the edge of the corn field at 8:00 AM, game over! Joining Mid-America Hunting Association was the best investment I ever made. Missouri has been been good to me, but to go out to Kansas where I never hunted, to hunt an animal I never hunted and see over 25 deer was beyond what I expected. The land that you lease is the exact reason I have great hunting success. Thank you again for helping me to get the trophy I dreamed of. Member for life, Mike M.
