Here are some pictures of my son Derek. The doe was his first bow harvest. It
was on a Saturday in September. He was 12 at the time and had been bow hunting
for 4 years. I told him after the 1st the rest will be easier.
He harvested the 7 point the next morning from the same stand.
The 10 point was harvested during the youth firearms season. He had seen this deer at 20 yards the night before bow hunting but his tag was already filled. We saw a small buck chase a doe under our tree, Derek passed on the 6 pointer and 1/2 hour later this buck picked up the trail and passed our stand at 15 yards. I slowed him down with a grunt and Derek made a good shot on him.
The 21 1/2 pound, 10 1/2 inch beard tom was harvested during the youth season. We are very pleased with Mid America Hunt Club. We get good quality animals and we don't need to worry about unsafe hunters stepping on us like public land. Thanks for the [location deleted] tips you gave Jake and I. I saw a great deer the 1st evening and decided it was him or nothing. No deer but, I had great hunts and enjoy every second of it. We have been in the club going on 4 years and look forward tot he next year already. Thanks, Larry and Derek
