Kansas Deer Management Units

Deer management units where the Association has land are listed on this map.

All Association lease land is within watersheds and on grain farms. Food first, cover second approach.

We do not operate a lodge. Lodging is by local motel. That means we are not limited to the driving distance around a lodge for land. That allows us to make the entire state available to us for where to hunt. When it comes time to spend money on land we simply do so where we get the most return for the hunter.

Food, cover, regional historic production, then a land access system that allows the hunter to seek out his buck of choice. A better approach than picking just one spot and hope for the best. The Association allows all who want to put forth their maximum effort to do so.

Trophy whitetail Kansas deer hunting lease on private Kansas hunting land in grain farming and deer country

I had decided to move to a different spot for the last afternoon hunt. After spending way too much time finding a decent place to cross the creek I had finally found a good stand location and began hanging steps. With my second step in had I spotted a buck with nice antlers coming down a farm road through the woodlot I was in. I slipped down the tree, grabbed my bow and release, and prepared for the shot. No face mask, no gloves, and he was already at 40 yds. While he continued walking on the road and with the tree between us I drew and waited. The buck came by without any idea I was there. The shot was OK and he went down within 90 yds, insight. Lets just say I am very pleased..." Nick
