Guard Tines

Long guard tines.

What a deer hunter applicant told us: "What your organization does for me is allow me to hunt a new area without the lag time of finding a place to go."

What another applicant told us: "Hunting with a guide is like being a teenager again and hunting under the direction of dad. Being told what stand to hunt and how long to stay there just takes away from the hunt. I'd much rather hunt on my own and not have success than to hunt under someone telling me how to hunt."

Statements like this stick with us.

Too Much Ground

Each hunter has more ground to hunt than he could cover in any year hunting all game types on all seasons. How many hunters does anyone know that can say they have too many places to hunt? Every member can say that in this Association. If serious about hunting we have the kind of hunting all true hunters want. That is game productive habitat to test hunting skill.

Large Deer

This gallery does emphasize quality racked deer. However, we must remind ourselves it takes a local strain of large body deer to make big racks. Whenever we get a good picture example of this we try to point it out much like this deer does.

Reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance of the hunt. Or, as late as the day of the hunt. Monday through Friday, 9AM to 530PM only.

The 30 day in advance reservation rule has been imposed by time tested experience as most people that plan any farther out have a much higher probability of changing reservations. The ability to make reservations the day of the hunt allows the flexibility of hunting an area, finding it may not be what is desired, turn the page in the map book, call in and make new reservations.

Deer hunters above all others more frequently change reservations.
