Hunter photos and letters are by far the most significant source of pride the land managers' gain with each one that is sent in. We remember each hunter that sends in their latest harvest picture or a letter telling about the hunt. It always means a longer telephone conversation the next time they call in for a reservation.
Photo Quality and Numbers
We would like to show the entire photo for each deer picture we have on this web site. However, some of the photos sent in are taken at such a distance the deer rack quality is unseen unless we digitally enlarge the picture. To keep the picture file size low and page opening time reasonable we are forced to crop the photos to show the deer rack quality sometimes at the expense of the hunter as seen here. Proportions
Mike Vandyke with his latest trophy. A nicely composed picture, with good light and the hunter close to the rack
allows for a better idea on the rack quality. And of course, a good scan and
file size. Advertising
Again, unlike some hunting web sites that post only their biggest deer we post all deer to show what we do provide in the truest sense. Hunting for the deer hunter to enter at his current trophy level and to grow from that point. Sometimes the rack looks bigger moving through the woods than it is once on the ground. We also do not accept commercial advertising on this web site as it is not a professional product that must make money. This entire web site construction is a hobby project of a member and composed entirely of member contributions. |
