Deer Hunter/Member Feedback

whitetail deer hunting lease

Tad (2 deer) and Kevin (1 deer) are both 10+ year members that joined Mid-America Hunting Association while attending school. They both moved on to pursue their careers out of state and renew their dues each year, since some of their best memories were hunting together in the Midwest.

Despite an overloaded work schedule, the two long time hunting companions unite for a couple trips each year. They enjoy hunting a variety of game, but their main focus is deer and turkey. Over the last 3 years, they have not pulled the trigger on a deer save for a deer to mount. They have had several close encounters and seen numerous quality deer, but the last couple of years, the luck always seemed in favor of the deer.

Last fall they returned to a farm they passed several good deer, hoping their management efforts would pay off. By the end of the 1st day they both tagged out with the rest of the week off to enjoy hunting pheasant with their cell phones turned off.

Our private land offers more than just deer hunts.

Over the counter fall turkey tags, a long overlapping season with deer and plenty of Eastern and Rio Grande Turkey.

Our tall grass pheasant habitat allows those willing to walk the chance to jump shoot without the benefit of a dog.

MAHA Hunting Leases

With MAHA every whitetail deer hunter hunts as a do it yourself or self guided hunt, over multiple farms, multiple stands, on his choice of habitat, at any time during any deer season, as often as he has time and within our system when he hunts a piece of land he hunts it alone.

We offer three prime and well known deer hunting states: Kansas, Missouri and Iowa. Within each of these states we make the entire state available selecting the right deer habitat in the right region of the state that has a history of deer production. We handle the deer lease administration of the written contract, landowner liability insurance and patrolling to insure we get what we pay for.

Pitfalls occur in all systems and we work to avoid them and while not the perfect operation for all deer hunters the private lease land hunts we offer does satisfy the do it yourself hunter that seeks the ability to hunt without the hassle of getting his own lease, knocking on doors or competing with public lands mentality hunters.

Our whitetail hunter opportunity is great and just the few links below will gain the hunter far more information that includes testimonials, aerial and ground level pictures, a large trophy whitetail gallery and much administrative information to make an informed decision.

Deer Lease Quality

Quality deer management on non-contiguous land within regions where state level QDM is not present is a futile effort.

As a self guided deer hunter organization more MAHA hunters than average seek trophy quality racks passing on smaller bucks largely equaling out non-regulated QDM.

We also encourage doe harvest. Our large non-resident membership mostly does not harvest any doe seeking to maximize their trophy hunt. Travel distance and limited vacation time makes that a necessity as we all recognize there is far more work than recreational time. Many local members do harvest doe, and many more than one, for freezer meat and we encourage that harvest. We also practice what we encourage and pictured below is one of the two future MAHA owner/operators, TJ learning from an early age the nuances of hunting.
