John,
I wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much
l I am enjoying my MAHA membership. I was hesitant before joining
the club, as I’m sure most members are. It seemed like a lot of
money to join, and I didn’t know what to expect.
However, my worries were put at ease my very first morning hunting
club land, when I had the opportunity to view 10 deer from my stand
within the first two hours of hunting light (three of these were
bucks, which put on a sparring match within 15 yards of my stand).
I’m happy to report that this was not a fluke, as I’ve consistently
seen more and better deer on club land than I’ve seen on any
properties I’ve previously hunted.
This is now my third season in the club, and I’ve managed to take 13
whitetails, two gobblers (my first), and lots of fish to date. I’ve
also managed to make several lifelong friends and hunting partners,
by meeting and hunting with other members. Just wanted you guys to
know that the ground time you put in before leasing a property is
noticed, and appreciated.

I’ve included pictures of the 10-point I killed the
opening day of the [location deleted] season. Three of us hunted
together that day, and both of the other guys took bucks, as well
(an 11-point and an 8-pt). It was great day with friends, and I’m
sure there are many more to come.
Good hunting, Craig |
